Q: Will my character name be changed during the merge? What happens if there are multiple characters with the same name?

A: Only characters on Alexina will be affected by name changes. Characters (pets, partners, characters) with duplicate names will have their name changed to 'Name+Server', e.g. Name+Alexina.

• A duplicate name can be a pet, partner, or character name, across Alexina and Nao servers.
• e.g. If a pet is named 'Potato' on one server, and a character is named 'Potato' on another server, the Alexina character’s name will be changed to Potato+Alexina.

However, if there are no duplicate character names, the character name will remain unaffected. Nao character names will not be changed.

Q: Will I be able to change my character name? Can I change my name back to my original name if it was changed?

A: All accounts that have character names changed during the merge process will receive an equal amount of free Character Name Changes automatically added to their account after the server merge is completed on April 14th. More information on the Name Change system can be found here. All name change limitations will remain the same.

Unfortunately, if the name has been changed, it may not be possible to change the name back to the original name if it is already taken by a pet or character on the new server, Erinn.

Additional Support

If your character’s name received a “+Alexina” tag during the Erinn server merge, you can appeal to have the tag removed by submitting a player support request. If your request is approved, the “+Alexina” tag will be removed from your character’s name, and the corresponding character from Nao will have the tag “+Nao” added to its name.

Only requests for the original character name will be accommodated. The original character name is the name of the Alexina character before the +server tag has been added. For example, “Potato” is the original character name of “Potato+Alexina”. You will be unable to request a name change if the name you are requesting is not the original character name without the “+Alexina” tag.

Only requests from characters with specifically the "+Alexina" tag will be accommodated. 

This service is only available for characters, and requests for partners or pets will be denied.

There are two possible criteria for name change approval. A request will be approved if it meets either of the following criteria:

1. The requesting player owns both the character with the “+Alexina” tag and the character with the original name.
   OR
   

2. The original character name is on an inactive account, defined as:

   • • Has not logged in for over 1 year from the date of the requester’s submitted support ticket.
       OR
       
     • Has not logged in for over 6 months from the date of the requester’s submitted support ticket and is below total level 5000.

To request additional support with your character’s name change, please submit a support request with the title:

[Additional Name Change Support] {Your character’s name}+Alexina

Your request will be reviewed by our team and, if approved, the name change request will be processed during the next weekly maintenance.
